FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Leeds Festival - Getting There
How many resident tickets are available this year?
We have been allocated a total of 250 tickets for the 2023 festival.
How much do the tickets cost?
The tickets cost £65.00 per person, the price set by Festival Republic.
What does the ticket price include?
The ticket price includes:
  • Early bird admission on Wednesday
  • ‘Guest’ admission to the festival for the full weekend
  • Camping in the ‘Guest’ area
  • Access to the ‘Guest’ bar
  • A ‘Guest’ car parking pass *
* Parking is subject to availability, maximum 1 vehicle per group.
Who is eligible for a ticket?
To be eligible for a resident’s ticket, you must live within the parish of Barwick and Elmet and Scholes. You must also be able to provide proof of residence. Please see the eligibility page for more info.
How do I apply?
Simply click on the apply now button below!
How many tickets can I apply for?
You can apply for up to 5 resident tickets in total. Each person in your application must live within the parish of Barwick and Elmet and Scholes and be able to provide proof of residence.
Can I apply for tickets for someone else?
Yes. You may apply for tickets on behalf of a third party (e.g. a friend or family member) providing that they meet the eligibility criteria. For example, a parent can make a group application for their son and/or daughter and their friends (so long as every applicant lives within the parish boundary). Please also bear in mind there are age restrictions for the festival.
How many times can I apply for a resident ticket?
You may only apply once a year. If you attempt to apply more than once, ALL of your applications will be disqualified.
Will every eligible resident receieve a ticket?
No. In previous years, demand for tickets has almost always exceeded supply. Should we receive applications for more than 250 tickets (which is highly likely) a draw will be undertaken with eligible applications selected at random until all 250 tickets have been allocated. In the event of non-payment (or cancellation) of an eligible application, we will hold a secondary ballot giving previously unsuccessful applicants a second opportunity to purchase tickets.
How does the ballot process work?
To view the Resident Ballot process, please click here.
How do I know if I have been successful?
All applicants will be sent an email notifying them whether their application has been successful or unsuccessful. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that any email notifications from the Barwick in Elmet and Scholes Community Fund are received and actioned by the deadline (please remember to check your spam folder). Should you change your contact details, please contact us as soon as possible.
How do I pay for the tickets?
Payment is not required/taken at the application stage. Successful applicants will be sent an email that includes a unique reference number allowing them to pay online. The deadline for payment will be included in this email.
Tickets will only be secured once payment has been received in full. If payment is not received by the deadline, your application will be voided and (where appropriate) a further ballot will take place (giving previously unsuccessful applicants another opportunity to be selected).
How will I receive my ticket?
2023 tickets are administered by Festival Republic. Resident tickets will be emailed directly to successful applicants.
When will I receive my ticket?
Tickets will be issued approximately 3-5 days before the start of the festival. Tickets will be issued via the email you provided, so it is vital that the information contained within your application is correct.  If you have not received tickets and are expecting them, please contact us.
How do I redeem my ticket?
You will need to take your ticket (along with photo ID) to the guest check-in area. Your ticket will then be exchanged for a wrist band which you will be required to wear at all times during the festival. Full details of how and where to check in will be included with your ticket.

// Terms & Conditions

Tickets are non-transferable

Resident guest tickets bear the name of the resident to whom they are allocated and cannot be resold or (by any means) transferred to any other individual.

Age restrictions

The price for an individual 2023 resident’s guest weekend ticket is £65.00 for guests aged 13 years and above.
Anyone aged 15 and under must be accompanied by a ticket holder over 18 years old at all times. For more information, please see the Leeds Festival website: https://www.leedsfestival.com/information-category/the-essentials/

Group applications

You can apply for a maximum of 5 guest tickets per application. A group application (2 – 5 tickets) will be treated in the same capacity in the draw as a single ticket application (there will be a single entry into the draw for every application). If a group application is successful, all applicants in the draw will be entitled to a ticket. Conversely, if a group application is not successful, then no one within the group application will be entitled to a ticket.

Duplicate applications

You may only make one application for resident guest tickets each year. You can not make both an individual and group application and your name cannot be included in an application made by someone else. If you attempt to make multiple applications (or your applicant names appear in someone else’s application) all applications containing the duplicant applicants will be deemed void.
If you wish to make a group application you must ensure that every applicant listed is notified beforehand (and that you have their consent). This will help to avoid unintentional duplicate applications and reduce the risk of your application being voided.

Travel

Applicants must make their own way to the festival (resident tickets do not include travel). Please see the getting there page for information on the festival shuttle bus which is subsidised by the Barwick and Scholes Community Fund.

Access to guest area and camping

Access to the guest parking, guest area and guest camping is at the discretion of the festival organisers.

Alcohol

Guest area (bar)

The festival ‘guest area’ is part of the larger licensed site (meaning that all alcohol has to be purchased on the premises). You can not take your own alcohol in to the guest area. This will be strictly enforced by festival staff.

Guest camping area

Alcohol for personal consumption is allowed in the Guest camping area, but be sure to comply with the list of prohibited items. Do not take any glass bottles or containers as these will be confiscated upon entry.

Prohibited items

No glass, gas canisters or aerosols are allowed at the festival. For a list of prohibited items, please refer to the Leeds Festival website.

Social Media

Please do not post images of guest tickets or passes anywhere online or on social media.

General terms and conditions

In addition to the terms and conditions above, applicants and ticket holders must also comply with all terms and conditions set out by the festival promoters (Festival Republic) and their ticket agent (ticketmaster).
